The information about plans to hold such a meeting was confirmed by the head of Opora Russia, Alexander Kalinin, adding that it will be conceptual and therefore it is too early to talk about details.
Previously, Boris Titov was the business ombudsman in Russia, but since 2022, after the expiration of his powers, the post remains vacant. The publication’s sources also report that the format of the work of the business ombudsman at the federal level and the need to maintain this position in general will be discussed at this meeting. The result of the meeting may be a change in the format of the position of the federal business ombudsman.
The business community is in favour of appointing Elina Sidorenko, head of the ANO Platform for Work with Business Appeals (ZaBusiness.RF), to this post. Experts note that she not only has a legal education, but also has developed constructive relations with law enforcement agencies.
