Directed by Jared Hess, the film is reminiscent of films like Jumanji (2017) with the same magical world element. However, this time the heroes are immersed in the famous cubic world of Minecraft.
Note that the realistic visualization of mobs and environments caused mixed feelings among viewers, with some comparing the style to the first Sonic the Movie trailers.
