In late July, Sberbank suffered the most powerful DDoS attack in the history of the bank; it lasted 13 hours; the attack was special because it simultaneously used both the infrastructure of the Ukrainian IT army and several third-party botnets, said Stanislav Kuznetsov, deputy chairman of the bank’s board of directors. The third-party botnets included about 62 thousand devices, more than half of them were located in Russia. The bank’s clients’ money was not affected.
