The improved Sync Box supports video resolutions up to 8K@60Hz and 4K@120Hz for gaming. Engadget notes that the update ensures the device is “well-prepared” for future devices, even if you’re currently using “old hardware.”

Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K synchronizes with up to 10 Hue lights that support different colors to create a dynamic lighting scene that adapts to what’s on screen. Users can adjust the brightness and intensity of the lighting via the Hue app.

The device also integrates with popular voice assistants like Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri. The Philips Hue Play HDMI Sync Box 8K is available for $350.
