The traces of three-fingered limbs probably belong to a dinosaur close to iguanodontids, herbivorous dinosaurs of the ornithischian order. The press service noted that the find is unique and represents the second discovery of dinosaur tracks in Cretaceous deposits in Russia.
The footprints, found on an 800-kilogram stone slab, were transported to the Ust-Kara Mining Museum using a forklift provided by the gold mining company. Analysis showed that the prints were similar to those found in China.
