There are currently more than 6,370 active brand satellites in Earth orbit, more than 62% of the total number of all satellites operating in Earth orbit.

The data was provided by CelesTrak, a nonprofit satellite tracking company.

Since the first launch of Starlink satellites in 2019, the company has significantly increased the growth rate of its constellation, launching an average of three satellites per day.

For comparison, its closest rival, British company OneWeb, has 10 times fewer satellites in orbit.

SpaceX plans to continue adding satellites, reaching 42,000, as it completes its mission to provide high-speed internet on a global scale.
