xAI will now provide Tesla with AI models for use in its Full Self-Driving (FSD) driver assistance program.

These technologies could also help develop other features, such as a voice assistant for electric vehicles and software for the Optimus humanoid robot.

Tesla also plans to share some of the revenue generated from the use of these AI technologies with xAI. The partnership would support Musk’s plans to create fully autonomous driving, which the billionaire has long promised investors.

The collaboration also includes a technology exchange in the data center space. Musk confirmed that Tesla and xAI are collaborating on the design of data centers, including the new Colossus center, which will be “the world’s most powerful AI center.”
