According to the company’s president, Lu Weibin, the new chipset will deliver a significant leap in performance thanks to its three key features: “ultra-high frequency, ultra-high performance and ultra-low power consumption.”
Lu noted that this would be the most significant performance increase in the company’s history.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, which will be showcased on Xiaomi 15, will be built on a new architectural design and is expected to set a new standard in the flagship processor market.
Xiaomi worked closely with Qualcomm for three years to create this platform and made numerous optimizations to the operating system, resulting in significant performance improvements.
Additionally, new flagship smartphones from other major brands like Vivo, Oppo, and OnePlus are also expected to launch with this chipset in October-November 2024.
