Aeroflot has launched direct scheduled flights from St. Petersburg to Bangkok (Thailand) for the first time, according to a statement from the airline.

Flights will start on 31 October 2024 and will be operated twice a week on wide-body Airbus A330 aircraft. Flight SU620 is scheduled to depart from Pulkovo Airport on Thursdays and Saturdays, and return flight SU621 from Bangkok on Fridays and Sundays.

The new airline will allow residents of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region to travel to the Thai capital without a stopover in Moscow.

The airline also launched direct flights from St. Petersburg to Phuket a year earlier. They will be kept in the schedule.

According to the Aviasales service as of September 12, there are five airlines that can fly to Bangkok from St. Petersburg: Nordwind Airlines, Sichuan Airlines, Pobeda, Aeroflot and Utair. RB.RU editors did not find any direct flights between October 31 and November 7.

Aeroflot is one of the largest Russian airlines. It also includes the Rossiya and Pobeda airlines. In 2023, 47.3 million passengers used the group’s services.
