Dating and friendship app Bumble will soon have artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, with the company’s CEO Lidiane Jones confirming the gadgets are coming.
One of the new functions in the service is the artificial intelligence assistant. will help the user in choosing the best photo Competitor Tinder has had a similar feature since last year that speeds up and optimizes creating or switching accounts.
Bumble will also use the technology to help users initiate conversations, which the company says “Helping clients gain the confidence to be their best selves“.
Other tools, not exhaustive, are being developed for all stages of using the app, including discovering potential matches and interacting with other people.
IA even on dates?
The dating version of Bumble has already gained a text assistant that helps”break the ice” The conversations give an indication of what might appear in the app.
“We want the level of creating a profile to remain high, but we want to reduce the friction that exists for users. People are very anxious when creating an account and we will make it as seamless as possible,” the CEO explained.
The executive’s speech is based on a survey released a few months ago that reported a majority of dating app users’ desire for an AI to help increase potential dates.
For now, the company hasn’t detailed what the language model behind the tools will be, nor has it released any images of the resources. AI features in Bumble It will be put into service at the end of 2024.
