The day before, information appeared on social networks that Wildberries had introduced a fee for delivery to the busiest pick-up points. You have to pay 200-500 rubles for it. The combined company Wildberries and Russ responded that this service has been available for several years and nothing new has happened.

It is used as a temporary measure to help pick-up points cope with the flow of orders. Everything works simply: a special algorithm monitors the congestion of points and determines which points are overloaded. After that, a note appears stating that delivery to this point will be paid. Its cost is calculated based on data on the size of the goods and the complexity of its transportation.

The company added that once the load at the pick-up point is reduced, the paid delivery mark disappears. The buyer also has the opportunity to order the goods at another delivery point that is not as busy, so he will not have to pay for delivery.

In the summer, a fee for receiving goods at Wildberries warehouses was introduced on an ongoing basis, and shortly after, it was raised significantly. Sellers say that due to the new rule they are losing money and are going to turn to the berries’ competitors.
