He remains technically neutral about the new console, stating that it’s just another platform that will allow games to run faster and with better graphics.
What’s more interesting is his take on the console’s cost. Zampella noted that the PS5 Pro’s $700 price tag may be shocking, but it’s generally reasonable.
“I think that’s to be expected,” he said. “Anything that improves gamers’ performance is great. A lot of people think the price is high, but if you look at past generations of consoles and you take inflation into account, they cost the same, if not more. If you buy a $700 PC, you’re not going to get the same performance as a PS5 Pro.”
