There are a variety of reasons why people stick to the same diet. It could be a lack of time or a limited budget. However, Rebecca Boswell, Ph.D., senior psychologist at the Princeton Eating Disorders Center at Princeton House Behavioral Health, says that eating the same foods day in and day out could be a symptom of psychological issues around food. These could include sensitivity to food texture, food fears, and eating disorders.

Nutritionists say that eating the same thing every day is not healthier than eating a varied diet. This can worsen your gut health because the bacteria in your gut love a variety of foods and nutrients.
