Online retailer Wildberries plans to increase the number of unmanned trucks delivering goods between Moscow and St. Petersburg to 10-12 by the end of the year. Currently, only four such vehicles operate on the M-11 Neva highway, but the company’s founder Tatyana Kim is confident that the situation will change in the near future. At the Digital Transportation forum, she thanked Kamaz for cooperation in this project.
Wildberries is also actively modernizing its warehouse processes. Kim noted that the Elektrostal warehouse also uses unmanned vehicles to transport goods between different units. This significantly simplifies logistics and increases operational efficiency.
In the future, the company focuses on developing trends such as robotization and automation, as well as creating more environmentally friendly transportation. According to Kim, Wildberries plans to increase the speed and quality of delivery, which will become a priority for the company and the entire industry as a whole.
