Zosima is being developed as part of the Save and Preserve project, which was launched by the foundation. The project aims to identify and restore churches in need of repair.

In addition to communication, the new messenger will allow creating temple profiles and organizing the collection of donations for their restoration. “Anyone can join, [приложение] will be available for download on all major mobile platforms,” Agapov said.

The messenger is named after Schema-Archimandrite of the Russian Orthodox Church, founder of the Dormition Monastery of St. Nicholas Zosima (Ivan Alekseevich Sokur in the world).

Previously, the Patriarchal Commission for Family Affairs, Protection of Motherhood and Children of the Russian Orthodox Church opposed the use of a number of technologies, for example, artificial intelligence, to generate human voices and faces, since they are “images and likenesses of humans.”
