Windows was installed from scratch for all processors that participated in the test. According to AMD, this is necessary to get accurate results. Models included 7950X, 9950X, 9700X, 9600X, 13,900K, 12,600K.

Among the working programs, the processors were launched in Cinebench (2023 and 2024), Corona 10, Blender, Compass 3D, Adobe Premiere. As a result, for example, when running Cinebench 2023 and 2024 for a single core at 5 GHz, the measurements were not the same as those of AMD. The increase was not 17%, but 11% (Cinebench 2023) and 10% (Cinebench 2024). All limits were removed, Win 11 patches and a new chipset driver were installed. The results in other benchmarks are below.

The games tested were Cyberpunk 2077, DOOM Eternal and PUBG. Cyberpunk was run at 1080p with impressive graphics FSR Qulaity. Overall, only the 12,600K was noticeably behind from all the processors, while the rest were about the same level.

In DOOM Eternal with Nightmare graphics and at 1080p, the 7950X looks worse than the 9600X. The average performance difference between them is about 16%. In PUBG, again at ultra graphics, there was almost no difference. All measurements are shown in the images above.

Testing on Corona showed that unlocking power consumption does not bring a significant increase in performance. At the same time, a specialist will now buy Ryzen 9000 only if he urgently needs it. If you have the opportunity to work on old hardware, it is better to continue to do so.
