Nebius also launched a new GPU cluster in Paris that will offer customers Nvidia’s H200 Tensor Core chips. In addition, in 2025, the company will be one of the first to introduce Blackwell AI chips.
The installation of the equipment will take two months and the data center will receive its first client loads in November 2024. Heat from the cluster’s servers will warm the farm on its roof.
The organization also plans to build two new data centers in Europe and expand the existing one in Finland. The cumulative investments in AI development in Europe will allow Nebius to reach a total capacity of tens of thousands of GPUs, the company said.
In July 2024, Yandex NV sold the Russian business: MCPAO Yandex became its new parent legal entity. In August, Yandex NV changed its name to Nebius and was headed by Yandex co-founder Arkady Volozh.
