Ozon introduced a machine learning-based tool for generating and editing backgrounds on product images, the company informed RB.RU.

Ozon believes that the AI editor will help sellers improve the visual design of product cards, reduce the cost of content preparation and speed up the process.
The tools are now available for free in trial mode for product categories such as home and garden, footwear, furniture, household chemicals and cosmetics. According to the press service, in the future the fund generator will continue to work for sellers of a limited number of categories. The remaining features (background removal and image enhancement) will remain available to everyone.
To use the new editor, sellers must upload a photo to their personal account and select an effect. The result will be available in a few minutes. The finished image can be uploaded immediately to the product sheet.
In May 2024, Ozon launched an AI generator of clothing photographs using a virtual model. The seller just needs to upload a photo of this or that item and the service will show how it will look on a person. The marketplace also has a machine learning-based tool that allows you to generate video covers.
