The video is dedicated to the fourth anniversary of Genshin Impact and was created by the Russian animation studio Honkfu. “It is a completely stop-motion animation. The studio worked on it for almost six months,” Anastasia Bestsenko, creative director of Dodo Pizza, told RB.RU.
According to her, the company decided to congratulate the game by creating “a real anime about the adventures of the characters in Russia.” “We wanted to show how amazing and different our country can be, and we thought that our heroes, Tignari, Saino and Kollei, would really like to see the famous ballet, discover the secrets of the nature of Lake Baikal or see the volcanoes. Kamchatka with his own eyes,” Betsenko shared.
He added that the video “contains a little Easter egg” for fans of the game, in the text written by one of the characters.
The collaboration between Dodo Pizza and Genshin Impact began on September 17 in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. As part of the promotion, network customers can receive promotional codes for in-game items, collectible figures and keychains.
