Reputable journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg reported that Apple is preparing two versions of HomePod with a display at once – code names J490 (budget) and J595 (more expensive).
The cheap model will be released in 2025. It will have a simpler screen than the expensive one. Additionally, the J595 features a robotic arm and a larger canopy. Both devices are supported by Apple Intelligence and run on wireless homeOS.
Gurman believes that homeOS is more than a rebranding of tvOS, which is based on a new operating system. The journalist clarified that the expensive version of HomePod will cost more than $1000.
Previously, 9to5Mac reported that the new products received an A18 chip for AI, a square screen, a camera for FaceTime, and are also able to recognize various hand gestures. [9to5]
