The first direct flight from Shanghai, China, arrived in Kazan. At the opening ceremony of direct flights between the cities it was also announced that a Chinese visa center will open in the capital of Tatarstan in early 2025.

As Tatar-inform reports, China Eastern Airlines will operate regular flights on the Shanghai – Kazan – Shanghai route. The load on the first board was almost 100%.
Chairman of the State Tourism Committee of the Republic, Sergei Ivanov, added that the emergence of air service between Kazan and Shanghai will simplify trips to other Asian countries that can be reached from the Chinese air hub.
In addition, the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Kazan, Xiang Bo, stated that “active” work is now underway to create a Chinese visa center in Kazan. It is planned to come into operation in early 2025.
You can stay in China without a visa for six days. Currently, citizens of the Russian Federation can obtain it at the embassy in Moscow, as well as at the consulates general in St. Petersburg, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg and Irkutsk.
