The parties signed a collaboration agreement and intend to develop the project together. According to Makatrov, the funds received will be used to perfect the product and prepare its entry into the market in 2025.
YouChip is a sensor system for collecting and analyzing sports data using artificial intelligence (AI). The startup was founded by a 17-year-old student from Moscow, Daniil Makatrov. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Uchip LLC was registered on May 21, 2024. Now the team consists of eight people, but a slight expansion is planned in the near future, the project director noted.
The company inserts small sensors into sports uniforms and equipment, and also equips venues with locators and cameras, allowing them to collect more than 300 statistical indicators. This data is processed by a neural network and becomes the basis for personalized recommendations.
According to the company, coaches can use this development to improve team performance in training and matches by more than 40%. Scouts can reduce the number of errors when recruiting new players for a club by two to three times, analysts can receive and analyze statistics for each athlete, and management can optimize costs.
In 2023, the system will be sold to teams at a price starting from 1 million rubles. The cost depended on the level of the purchasing team: amateurs, semi-professionals and professionals.
Last fall, the startup became the best Russian SportTech company and received the Golden Dialcon award from the Ministry of Sports. In December, the project reached the finals of the Sber school accelerator.
