“I am pleased to announce that the restructuring of our combined company has been completed and we are now ready to take on new projects,” Kim said. The businessman added that the company is actively preparing for the “high season” in the consumer market and plans to present many new projects.
Kim also urged employees not to worry about her conflict with her ex-husband, Wildberries co-founder Vladislav Bakalchuk. “I know many of you are receiving strange calls, messages and requests to be added as friends on social media. Don’t be afraid of anything, I am the guarantor of your safety,” he said.
The businessman expressed confidence that law enforcement agencies “will definitely deal with this chaos that occurred in the center of Moscow.” “The double murder should not go unpunished,” Kim emphasized.
On September 18, a shooting occurred at the Wildberries office in Moscow. The company said Bakalchuk made “an attempted break-in with armed guards.” During the incident, according to investigators, two people were killed and seven were injured.
Bakalchuk claimed he came to the building to negotiate an end to warehouse construction. Kim denied any agreement to negotiate. After the incident, Bakalchuk was detained, but the next day the businessman said he had been released.
Wildberries and Russ first announced their plans to merge in June 2024. In July, the partners created a joint venture, the RVB company.
