Intel has said that the latest patch released for Raptor Lake processors (Core 13 and 14) will be the last with an issue that causes the chips to work over Bluetooth and fail in some cases.

We are talking about patch 0x12B. It fixed the Vmin Shift voltage offset, which had a greater impact on the operation of processors. Previously, the company also released 3 more microcode updates aimed at solving problems.

Vmin Shift is associated with increased voltage in the IA core clock circuit. This can lead to system dependencies and malfunctions, as well as permanent damage to chips.

Intel says it will no longer work on the problem, and it has now finally won. However, there is a nuance: the company I haven’t come up with a way to determine which processor has already begun to degrade. All new chips will work fine, but the old ones cannot be repaired. [The Verge]
