The updated app will follow the same Google’s Material Design style, but some details of the redesign remain unclear. Google is expected to reveal more information about both the design and new features soon.
Although Google has not officially confirmed these changes, evidence of the update was found when analyzing the app’s APK on Android phones. The update promises design improvements as well as making data transfer between iOS and Android faster and easier.
