Information about Taran’s detention was confirmed by a source from RBC Novosibirsk familiar with the situation. According to a source from NGS.RU, the businessman “is still detained” under Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code, “the question of choosing a preventive measure for him will be decided.” Kommersant-Sibir sources also reported on the arrest of the businessman.

Popelyukh was arrested on October 9 on suspicion of fraudulent activities and abuse of power.
