According to the Single State Registry of Legal Entities, the remaining 20% remained in the Expositor investment fund. The details of the transaction are not disclosed, but Kommersant’s interlocutor said that the cost was 433 thousand dollars (41.6 million rubles).
The executive director of the SRO “Union of Manufacturers of Dietary Food Supplements” Alexander Zhestkov says that the ingredients of fortified bars and dietary supplements can be identical, which explains the interest of the Supplements Group in this segment. In his opinion, the acquisition of Jump is associated with the request of retailers to produce this type of products.
FitnessData Director Maxim Borovikov adds that the turnover of the Russian sports nutrition market has doubled this year and reached 25 billion rubles. He attributes the growth to increased consumption of protein bars and other fitness products like Jump, which can now be found in almost every grocery store.
Investment banker Ilya Shumov highlights that the healthy food market in Russia is showing double-digit growth and consumers are willing to pay more for products for a healthy lifestyle, making this category extremely profitable.
Supplement Group was founded in 2015. The group specializes in contract manufacturing under retail brands. It has 680 m2. m of production space and produces up to 250 thousand cans per month, planning to expand to 6 thousand square meters. m In 2023, its revenue increased 5.5 times to 264.2 million rubles and net profit amounted to 85.1 million rubles. The owner of the company is Pavel Mamaev.
Healthy Planet LLC was founded in 2015. The company produces fitness desserts under the Jump brand, including protein bars, cookies and other products. In 2023, its revenue increased by 43.5%, amounting to 151 million rubles, and its net loss was 807 thousand rubles.
