Apple has registered a new patent related to AR projectors.

The system developed by the company allows you to project AR/VR images on various platforms in an augmented reality version. Just to see them, you don’t need a special headset like a helmet. You will see everything in a video of regular projections, just like in a movie.

A high-resolution LED AR projector can be used to project 2D augmented reality or reality reality (VR) content viewed by a person in a room using an AR system (such as an AR headset and/or glasses), onto a surface (such as a table ) or floor) of the room so that other people in the room can see what the person using the augmented reality system sees.

Apple says its technology could be included in a form factor similar to a light bulb. And it can even be integrated into a standard light bulb socket.

Visible light or infrared cameras can be used to allow the projector to determine the size, shape and texture of the room.

So far, this patent is only unknown whether it will be used by Apple for its future products. Probably, the improvement could be integrated into future versions of Vision Pro or a separate device for a smart home. [9to5]
