Links to 11 Internet pages will be excluded from the registry of prohibited information. In total, the platform removed more than 260 materials.
“Some media outlets mistakenly interpreted the inclusion of individual pages of a resource in the registry as blocking those pages or even the entire service. “We once again draw the attention of the media to the inadmissibility of publishing unverified information,” noted the RKN newspaper.
Based on the requirements of art. 15.1 of Law No. 149-FZ, after including a link in the Unified Register of Prohibited Information, automatic blocking does not occur. A request is sent to the hosting provider and the owner of the Internet resource to remove the content.
Steam is an online service for the digital distribution of games and computer programs, developed and supported by the American company Valve. He started working in September 2003.
In February, Roskomnadzor added Steam Community to the register of banned sites. The operation of the service was limited by decision of the Ministry of the Interior.
