Apple published a message to users in which it congratulated everyone on the 10th anniversary of Apple Pay.
Today, the service is used by millions of consumers in 78 markets, across millions of websites and apps, in tens of millions of stores worldwide, and served by more than 11,000 banks and network partners.
According to company statistics, people choose Apple Pay for three reasons:
• because it is easy to use: 90%
• Because it is private: 88%
• because the service is safe: 87%
98% of service users are ready to recommend it to a friend.
The company notes that iOS 18 users can also access Apple Pay through web browsers and computers. At checkout, they will be prompted to use their iPhone or iPad to receive an additional code, after which they can pay securely using Apple Pay on their iPhone or iPad.
