The folding smartphone Honor Magic V3 was tested in the deepest pool in Russia – A30 in the Leningrad region.
The strength of the device was tested by freediver Maria Olshevskaya, holder of the Guinness record for ice diving on Lake Baikal to 40 meters without additional equipment. This time she dived to 30 meters.
The smartphone’s seals were able to withstand a height of 27 meters and a pressure of 264.87 kPa. After this, the seal was broken.
Experts note that moisture protection is officially declared at 2.5 meters. So there is no point in repeating the experiment, although the device coped with it.
