The Chinese brand Chery presented its first flying car

The presentation took place at the Chery 2024 Global Innovation Conference. It looks like a racing car with a small helicopter on top. Supports vertical takeoff and landing.

The company said the vehicle is still in the development stage, but has already successfully completed an 80 km test flight.

The manufacturer says that the ground and air vehicle is designed for short flights and that the vehicle must be driven on the ground most of the way. It is proposed to use the flight function to avoid an obstacle or traffic jam.

The maximum flight altitude is 1 km. In the air, the car can move at speeds up to 120 km/h, the flight time is limited: no more than 40 minutes.

The car has capacity for only two passengers. There is no steering wheel or pedals, there is only an intelligent system and an autopilot. The timing of mass production of ground and air vehicles is still unknown.
