The preliminary amount of damage in the agricultural sector exceeded 100 billion rubles, and in the industrial complex and SMEs – 17 billion rubles, Starodubtsev said.
On behalf of Governor Alexei Smirnov, a working group was created in the Kursk region to support the affected enterprises, which included the heads of more than 20 industrial and agricultural enterprises, as well as representatives of ministries and departments, noted the government. At the first meeting, participants discussed offsetting costs to employers due to downtime, tax deferrals and other issues.
The Ukrainian army entered the Kursk region on August 6 and military clashes occur daily in the region. On October 24, the Russian Defense Ministry stated that “the armed forces of the Russian Federation continue their actions to defeat the enemy group that has entered the territory of the Kursk region.”
