Google has announced a major update for Gmail web version. Users can now take advantage of the “Help Me Write” feature, which works through Geminibrand artificial intelligence in the above-mentioned email platform.

This feature allows users rewrite your emails with AIto make them look more professional, free of spelling errors, or simply be more coherent. When a person writes an email through the web version of Gmail, they will see a button just below the text that allows them to show other alternatives to the text.

We are pleased to expand direct access to Help me write to the site and enter the shortcut Polish on the web and mobile devices, helping you improve your email even faster.

This feature is complemented by another AI feature called “Update my draft‘, which was previously available on the Gmail mobile app and is now available on the web. Specifically, this feature will appear in drafts containing more than 12 words, and works similarly to Help Me Write. In this case, it allows you to formalize or shorten drafts.

New Gmail feature available only to paying users

Google, however, warns that Access to both features is different in the web version and in the Gmail mobile app.. In both cases, this option will appear in the body of the letter if the draft letter is empty and, we repeat, contains more than 12 words. But in the case of the mobile version, you will need to swipe the screen for the AI to display alt text.

Remember that in the web version of Gmail you need to enter the command Ctrl+H to display options.

All these features are available starting today. Of course, only through Google On AI Premium Plane, which costs €21.99 per month after a one-month free trial. This plan also gives you access to 2TB of storage on Google One, as well as Gemini Advance, which is capable of offering more complete and accurate answers. Gmail improvements are also available to users who have the Gemini add-on for Workspace.
