“Dear partners and colleagues! I would like to share with you an important event in my life: today the transaction for the sale of my stake in the Rossium consortium to the structures of Sergei Sudarikov was completed. As a result of the transaction, I do not have any assets or business projects in Russia,” Avdeev said in a statement. This information was confirmed to Forbes by the Rossium press service.
The billionaire clarified that he plans to “focus on his loved ones, primarily children, as well as other important aspects of life not related to business.”
Avdeev owned 62% of Rossium, Sudarikov owned 31% of the company. The company includes the Moscow Credit Bank, the Yugoria insurance group, the investment company Metrika Investments and others. According to Rusprofile, in 2023 the revenue of Rossium Concern LLC amounted to 72 billion rubles, and the net profit – 18 billion rubles.
Avdeev is ranked 108th on the Forbes list. During the military operation in Ukraine, the billionaire’s fortune decreased from $1.8 billion in 2021 to $1.2 billion in 2024. In particular, Avdeev’s brokerage company Sova Capital was placed under external management.
During the military operation, at least six billionaires renounced Russian citizenship, among them the founder of the fintech startup Revolut Nikolai Storonsky, the founder of Tinkoff (now called T-Bank, owned since April 2022 by the Interros holding company) Oleg Tinkov ( recognized by the Russian Ministry of Justice as a foreign agent) and the founder of the DST Global venture fund, Yuri Milner.
