During this time, the service received 68 requests from authorities to remove content from 69 links, including music tracks, videos, podcasts and album covers. The company’s press service emphasized that 98% of the removed content had a total of less than 100 views in the month before the removal, and 60% had no views at all.

At the same time, 40 thousand tracks from the Yandex Music catalog received the “18+” label. To protect users from potentially challenging content, individual tagged tracks are excluded from overall recommendations, but remain available in users’ collections and through search. During six months, 2,324 tracks were excluded in this way, the publication notes.

Additionally, during the reporting period, 135 tracks were removed with content that experts said included violence, insults or shock. In case of removal for violation of the service rules, copyright holders receive a notification with the opportunity to make changes or file an appeal.

In the fall of 2023, Yandex Music presented its transparency report for the first time, according to which 3,246 pieces of content were removed in the first half of the year and another 1,087 in the third quarter.
