Venture capital fund Iskra Ventures has sold its stake in dynamic hotel pricing service Hotellab to a European private investor. The sale took place in 2024 and more than 10 annual revenues were estimated, the fund’s press service informed RB.RU.

Ivan Sezonov, partner at Iskra Ventures, noted that since the May 2021 deal, Hotellab has grown eight-fold and strengthened its position as a leader in its niche in the Russian market. Sezonov stressed that the fund emerged from the project with a positive result and at a good strategic moment.
In 2021, Hotellab raised $200,000 from Iskra Ventures and Startup Lab. The funds planned to invest another $400,000 into the service after it achieved sustainable performance.
According to Rusprofile, the legal entity of the service, Hotellab LLC, was registered in 2022 in Yekaterinburg, with an address in Innopolis in October 2024. The founders of the company are Anatoly Burdakov (70%) and Danil Kuznetsov (30%). Hotellab LLC’s revenue in 2023 amounted to 3.9 million rubles, and the net loss was 1.2 million rubles (information about the company’s previous financial results is not reflected in the database). Based on 2023 revenue, Iskra Ventures could sell its stake for 39 million rubles.
Hotellab is a service for hotels that, using artificial intelligence, determines the optimal price, taking into account the market situation, sales volume, elasticity of demand, competitor actions and other factors. The company was founded in 2019. According to its own data, in five years of operation, Hotellab has expanded its presence to 14 countries, daily optimizing the prices of more than 25 thousand rooms and managing the income of more than 300 hotels.
