As the manager of one of the partner companies told the publication, Forward Leasing sent a closure notice effective October 15. According to him, the service had difficulties after large suppliers left Russia, which caused a high percentage of non-payments on leasing contracts.

According to Shopper’s, the company’s top managers have already launched a new similar project. No details are provided in this regard.

Forward Leasing began operating in Russia in 2018. The company offered users subscriptions to consumer electronics, from smartphones and laptops to home appliances and game consoles. The service allowed users to use new devices for a small monthly fee. According to our own data, during its existence customers received 220 thousand devices, 55% of them signed up for a program for two or more gadgets.

According to the Rusprofile service, Forward Leasing LLC’s revenue in 2023 decreased by 33% to 464 million rubles, with a net loss of 54 million rubles.
