Audi has unveiled a new brand for its upcoming electric vehicles, which will be exclusively sold in China.
This is an AUDI. The difference is that the brand is written in capital letters (usually spelled Audi) and the abandonment of the four-ring logo. Thus, the company wants to attract new audiences and maintain brand recognition.
Electric vehicles will be produced under the AUDI brand in the country with the Chinese manufacturer SAIC. The company has developed an advanced platform that will allow the rapid launch of serial production machines.
Under the new brand, the company presented the AUDI E concept. This is an all-wheel drive station wagon with original electric motors that produce 570 kW of power and 800 Nm of torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The car is equipped with a 100 kWh battery, providing a range of 700 km.
The design of AUDI E is not similar to other models of the company. The center console has a wireless charger for two smartphones, and a large edge-to-edge 4K screen sits in the center. It runs on AUDI OS.
The company plans to release three cars under the AUDI brand. One of them will entail production and sales in 2025. [Audi]
