He recalled that now the only video service that necessarily comes pre-installed on the devices sold is Rutube. It was previously removed from the App Store and Google Play app stores.
According to Mediascope, in August, views of “VK Video” after the slowdown of YouTube in Russia increased fivefold, to 36.8 million people. The audience of “VK Clips” in August compared to July increased by 1.3 million to 66.6 million users. Views of short vertical videos in August increased by 36% compared to the beginning of summer and reached 2.5 billion.
Earlier this week, VK announced that it would start pre-installing its own multimedia services in the multimedia systems of foreign cars. The first services that will appear in car multimedia systems will be “VK Video”, “VK Music” and “VK Messenger”, and in the future it is planned to introduce “Zen”.
A source close to the RB.RU holding stated that the company is negotiating with 10 large car manufacturers (their names are not revealed), but is ready to cooperate with all car manufacturers represented on the Russian market.
