The head of the metro, Arkady Chmykhailo, said the system will use biometrics to pay for travel expenses and will work on a pass at each station. The project was developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation. The exact financing amounts are expected to be clarified after the relevant agreements are signed.
Biometric data will be processed only within the framework of the Unified Biometric System and anyone can register to the system. In this case, users will have the opportunity to refuse future data transfer and the data will then be deleted from the system.
