The news comes nearly a month after reports that lead developer Ryujinx had struck a deal with Nintendo and stopped working on the project.
It seems that the transfer of the domain name has become part of this agreement, which means that the activity of one of the most popular console emulators is effectively stopped.
Ryujinx isn’t the only emulator Nintendo will hit in 2024. The company also shut down Yuzu, another famous Switch emulator.
The company actively pursues emulator developers and users, as well as authors who distribute copyright-infringing content.
In November, Nintendo sued popular publisher Every Game Guru, accusing it of showing off unreleased games and “encouraging piracy.”
