Since 2015, the service has conducted a quarterly survey on the reasons for dismissals. At least 10 thousand applicants regularly participate in the study.
As the survey showed, in the fourth quarter of 2024, the proportion of voluntary layoffs was 76%. This is a record in the entire history of observations. In the third quarter, the proportion was 69%, a year ago it was 67%. The figure hit its lowest level in the third quarter of 2020, when only 46% of applicants responded that they had left their previous job on their own.
At the same time, from 2022 to 2024, the proportion of workers laid off due to downsizing or business reorganization decreases annually. In the fourth quarter they were 6% and 5%, respectively.
Most often, lawyers resign at their own request (81% of respondents), followed by workers in the sports and beauty industry (80%). Employees in the security sector (61%), senior managers (68%) and service staff (66%) are the least likely to leave their jobs on their own.
“67% of employers resort to directly hunting for candidates.
