Oura CEO Tom Hale doesn’t think Apple has plans to enter the smart ring market.
There are two main reasons for this. First, the smart ring could stifle Apple Watch sales. Secondly, “it’s difficult to get that trade dress right.”
Oura makes eco-friendly smart rings and is one of the few companies in this space. Their latest device, the Oura Ring 4, can track movement, fitness, health, stress and sleep.
Previously, there were rumors that Apple would release its own smart ring. However, soon after this, respected journalist Mark Gurman reported that the company had changed its mind about releasing this gadget.
