According to the study, 75% of small businesses in Russia do business alone. Only a small portion of respondents admitted to having an acquaintance, friend, or spouse as a business partner, and most “started” their business solely with their own funds.
Most Russian entrepreneurs in the service sector in small businesses are alone in their business. This was admitted by 75% of respondents who participated in a survey about the Avito Services service.
Less than 10% of survey participants have a friend, acquaintance, or spouse as a business partner. At the same time, 76% of respondents started their own business exclusively with their own funds. 10% used a bank loan to get started, 6% borrowed from friends or family.
Half of the entrepreneurs surveyed cited achieving work-life balance as the success of their business. Furthermore, about half of the respondents considered financial independence as such, while a smaller number of respondents considered it a public recognition.
The survey was conducted in the first half of November among 3,000 businessmen surveyed from all over Russia.
