GizmoChina journalists published a visual comparison of Snapdragon 8 Elite and Apple A18 Pro in benchmarks.
To do this, they compared two smartphones: Realme GT 7 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro. The results were interesting.
In the Geekbench 6 single-core test, Apple’s top iPhone chip won by a small margin, scoring 3,291 points versus 3,156 points for the SD 8 Elite. In the multi-core test, the situation has changed – the “elite” chip is in the lead with an identifier of 9489 points versus 8146 points.
And if in tests of processor performance smartphones can be said to have parity, then in graphics the Snapdragon 8 Elite is much ahead, ahead of its Apple counterpart by about 20%.

The powerful Adreno 830 GPU in the Snapdragon 8 Elite performed very well in 3DMark benchmarks compared to the 6-core GPU in the A18 Pro. In the WildLife Extreme Stress Test, the Qualcomm chip scored 82.4% stability, while the A18 Pro scored just 68.1%.
Finally, in another popular AnTuTu benchmark, the new product from Qualcomm then scored more than 2.7 million points, and from Apple – 1.7 million. Here are the measurements in the benchmarks:
However, it should be noted here that AnTuTu for Android runs on the Vulkan API, while AnTuTu for iOS runs on the Metal API. The resulting results may be highly dependent on each other and may not reflect the actual situation in Partial Productivity: A Method for Measuring Generational Differences. [GizmoChina]
