Wildberries began negotiations with businessman Robert Uzilov on the lease of the former warehouse complex of the Swedish company IKEA, located in Yesipovo, near Moscow. This was reported to RBC by two sources familiar with the parties’ plans.

According to the publication’s interlocutors, the terms of a possible agreement, including the features of the site, are now being discussed. RBC sources do not know other details.
Wildberries declined to comment to RB.RU. Uzilov’s representative told RBC that “negotiations are underway with potential partners,” emphasizing that the parties are considering different scenarios and possibilities for developing the asset.
We are talking about a former IKEA warehouse with an area of 180 thousand square meters. m, whose owner Uzilov became in November. At the same time, the businessman’s representative confirmed this information to RBC, but refused to comment on any details.
According to the publication, the agreement was approved by the government commission for the control of foreign investments, headed by Finance Minister Anton Siluanov. The purchase met the established requirements, including a mandatory discount and a voluntary contribution, noted one of RBC’s interlocutors.
The head of the department of warehouses and industrial real estate at CORE.XP, Anton Alyabyev, estimated the market value of the former IKEA warehouse in Esipovo at 16-18 billion rubles.
The Swedish furniture retailer announced its intention to leave the Russian market in 2022. In August of the same year, IKEA held its last inventory sale and in March 2023 it sold its last facility in the country.
According to RBC, Wildberries has a total of 136 logistics facilities. Its total area is 2.5 million square meters. m, and the number of goods in warehouses is more than 500 million units. On November 14, the market’s press service reported that the company plans to build a logistics center in Ufa with 9 thousand jobs.
