Spencer confirmed his interest in creating a portable console and stated that the company was working on prototypes. But such a device may not appear for several years.
For now, the division is focused on improving the performance of existing handsets and working with device manufacturers to ensure full compatibility with Xbox games.
Additionally, Microsoft plans to develop its own online store for mobile games, but its launch has been postponed due to additional market research.
Spencer also expressed his optimism about the future of mobile games and the industry’s prospects, stating that the company will look for new ways to reach a wider audience.
