Microsoft this Tuesday (19) introduced a new addition to the company’s product catalog. This Microsoft 365 ConnectionA mini PC for the corporate sector that performs all its functions from the cloud.
The device was announced during Ignite 2024, a company event that also featured unveilings of new security chips for Azure servers, new Exposure Management for enterprises, and improvements to Copilot Actions AI services.
The miniature computer is sold separately without any peripherals such as a monitor or mouse and keyboard. The idea is that each consumer can connect their favorite device configuration to it, turning it into a personal and compact work environment.
Microsoft’s proposal is that it essentially serves to run tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and services like Teams in the Microsoft 365 suite (formerly Office 365).

Because it only works in the cloud. does not store files or applications on the device itself — to access this data, you must log in with login methods that can even include a physical USB key. Additionally, all communication with the servers is encrypted.

so far Microsoft hasn’t revealed full details of Microsoft 365 Link. The chip has been confirmed to be an Intel model, but no further information about the specific model has been revealed.

The exterior of the Mini PC is made of 90% recycled aluminum alloy body, and the motherboard also uses recycled copper.

Microsoft 365 Connection Will be released in April 2025 “in select markets” 349 US dollars (or R$ 2 thousand in direct currency conversion at the prevailing exchange rate).
The first regions selected in the preview phase are the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. There is currently no information about a possible launch in the Brazilian market.
Microsoft also gave the following assurance: “won’t stop here” and should launch other models and device formats to expand access to the brand’s services.
