Apple plans to use quantum dot LEDs in the new Pro Display XDR monitor. This was reported by Display Supply Chain Consultants analyst Ross Young. Similar technology is used in the MacBook Pro based on the M4 chip.

Quantum dot display provides more accurate color reproduction and improved handling of moving objects.

The remaining features of the new version of Pro Display XDR are still unknown. Its release date has also not been determined. The original Pro Display XDR was introduced in 2019 along with the Mac Pro.
